Meet our North American Senior Executive Team

Gary Pearson

Chief Executive Officer

linkedin_icon.png    Gary Pearson was appointed Chief Executive Officer for Adacel in October, 2015. Gary joined Adacel in 2001. In his initial duties with the Company, he led the development team responsible for the functional content of the USAF MaxSim Tower Simulation System bringing Adacel’s ATC simulation products to the forefront of the industry. Mr. Pearson was appointed Vice President, Advanced Programs in 2005 and in 2008 added overseeing the Product Management team to that portfolio where he continued to be at the center of Adacel's product initiatives. In addition to directing the development of existing product lines, Mr. Pearson was responsible for defining new technologically advanced programs to take Adacel’s proven technology into associated market sectors. He was promoted to Chief Operating Officer for Adacel in June 2010 and served as Acting Chief Executive Officer from June, 2015 until his official appointment to CEO in October, 2015.

     Before joining Adacel, Mr. Pearson was a product development manager and test group leader in the ATC simulation industry. Prior to this he was an air traffic control officer and qualified air traffic control examining officer in the Royal Air Force (RAF) and a flight manager responsible for day-to-day specialist cargo operations for a European air cargo company. Earlier in his career, Mr. Pearson served in the Merchant Marine.


Jean-Philippe (JP) Duval

Chief Financial Officer

     Jean-Philippe Duval was appointed Chief Financial Officer for Adacel in October, 2016. Jean-Philippe has been an integral member of the Company's finance team for over eight years and has served as Vice President of Finance since June, 2015. Mr. Duval previously held the position of Director of Finance & Administration, where he led the accounting team as well as the Human Resources and the Quality Assurance departments at Adacel.

     Prior to joining Adacel, Mr. Duval held a position as Finance Manager (division controlling) with Bombardier Transportation in Canada, where he specialized in budgets, forecasts & cash flow management including foreign exchange coverage strategies. Mr. Duval has been a certified public accountant since 2001 with a master’s degree in accounting.


Brian Hennessey

VP, Business Development & Strategic Planning

linkedin_icon.png      Brian Hennessey was promoted to Vice President Business Development & Strategic Planning in 2014. Brian joined Adacel Technologies in 1997 after Adacel purchased the remaining equity in a jointly held company specializing in the development of management training simulation products. Brian held the position of Director of Advanced Programs where he led the development efforts of many of Adacel’s products including part task radar simulator, the airfield driving simulator and security simulator.

     Brian is the author of numerous published papers as well as coauthor of the book “Critical Infrastructure Security: Assessment, Prevention, Detection, Response” Prior to joining Adacel Brian held positions at Telstra and Autoliv Australia. Mr. Hennessey has a B.S Communications from Fitchburg University.


Alain Bernardeau

VP, Operations & General Manager, Adacel Inc.

     Alain Bernardeau was appointed General Manager of Adacel’s Montreal office in 2014 and Vice-President Operations in February 2016. Alain started his career at Adacel in 1998. Initially leading the software development team for the MaxSim Radar and Tower Simulation Systems, Alain’s efforts helped achieve the award of the USAF TSS program; which is still the largest ATC simulation program ever awarded. In 2005, as Manager of the Systems Engineering group, Alain drove the modernization of Adacel’s software platforms towards a well-structured, component approach. This componentized structure is now a key element in Adacel’s growth strategy for new products and technologies. From 2009 to 2014, Alain was appointed Program Manager on special programs in the ATM and embedded aircraft cockpit speech recognition markets.

     Mr. Bernardeau has been a business partner of several start-ups, from 1991 to 2011, in Europe, Asia and North America. He started his career as a software developer in the Cavalry School / French Armoured Cavalry Arm in 1990.
