Sri Lanka Airport & Aviation Academy (formerly Civil Aviation Training Centre, Sri Lanka) is the training arm of Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Pvt) Ltd., which was founded in 1984 through an ICAO/UNDP Project. Over the years, the organization has grown from a company training division to a regional training institution. Sri Lanka Airport & Aviation Academy is now a full member of the ICAO TRAINAIR PLUS programme. The organization is the national institution in Sri Lanka for training in disciplines of Air Traffic Services, Aeronautical Communications Operations, Aeronautical Information Services, Electronics & Air Navigation Engineering, Aviation Security, Airport Fire & Rescue Services, and Airport Management. Its courses include all the standard programmes required for the training of personnel in the provision of airport services and air navigation services, and all these courses are open for regional participation.
